This "Milan Flat of the Future", is a 4500 sq. feet top floor flat in the centre of Milan. Our mission was about creating an interactive environment, filled with invisible automation, within an existing building. The restoration of listed buildings is a major theme in Italy: the 70% of the market for the Construction Industry is about remodelling and restoring existing heritage. We approached the design with the aim of adding value to Italian Cultural Heritage through layers of cutting edge technologies. The Industry was involved from the beginning, and we planned a number of selected themes, whose potential could interest the Construction Industry.
